一通り予定していた内容は昨日で終わり（おそらく）。今後は時折雑感的なことは書こうと思う。いつどう書くか、というのはまだ決めていないのだが恐らくここの読者の80%がリピーターであるから「ああ、またNYか・・・。」と思ってくれるに違いない。
それで今日は今まで掲載したNY関連写真の点数についての考察と、紹介されなかった「ボツ写真」を少しご紹介。
結局、震災など不足の事態もあったので予定よりも二週間近く時間がかかった。写真の整理、頭の中身の整理など私の事情で滞った事情もあるのは自覚している。それで実際に掲載した枚数とタイトルとしては；

Story-3 on the way to the MET from 103st.：22点
Story-4 at the MoMA store " the first part "：44点

Story-12 a toy store in the Times Square：23点

Story-14 at the Dormitory：23点
Story-16 World Trade Center site：16点

合計：308点
であった。
撮ってきた枚数が2,196枚でそのうちここで掲載したのが308枚なので全体の14%ほどということになる。アップロードに手間かかった割には少ない。ただ、言っておくけどその辺の「ニューヨークの写真集」なんて多くて100点くらいだと思うので、そういう意味ではお得だったと思う。顧客満足度を意識している私としても出血大サービスである。
また、使われなかったボツ写真の理由は様々で、出来映えよりもブログ内での取り扱い上、ストーリー性に重きを置いたので扱いに困る「半端写真」は使っていない。単独では見栄えするのにねぇ、という写真も少なくない。
せっかくなのでそれら「ボツ写真」のごく一部をご紹介したいと思う。
さて、始めますか。
まずは、スタテンアイランドのフェリー乗り場で撮った水槽の写真から。
ボツ理由としては手ブレ＆ピンぼけの両方だったから。あと、全体のストーリーに「魚」を入れるのにいささか乱暴さを感じたというのが理由。いきなり魚出てきても「？」だろうに。
さて、次。覚えているだろうかこの写真↓。
↑この写真はボツにせず掲載した。確か休日に掲載したので見てない方も多いかと思う。ちなみに「花の写真」というのはたとえ半端な写真でも「使える」ことが多い。それでは何をボツにしたかというと；
さきほどの写真を撮ったスーパーの店頭の写真（↑）である。こうして俯瞰してみると当ブログ内で見かけた花がたくさんあると思う。見栄えが悪いわけではないのだが、「花かスーパーか」となるとそこは「花優先」が鉄則である。理由は簡単で「花の写真」というのはいつでも誰にでもウケが良いのである。
私もアクセス数を気にしているのでたまにはキャッチーな写真を使うのだよ。花を載せるとそこそこ華やかだし。「意外と繊細なところあるじゃん！」という私の人物像を植え付けるという打算もある。
そして次。
実はチャイナタウンとソーホー、リトルイタリーにも行って撮っている。なぜそこがネタとして登場しなかったかというと、実は数がさほど無いのである。「質より量」の私がなぜ量が足りていないかというと、立ち寄ったのは最終日で疲労困憊しており、且つ雨だったのだ。必至に撮るもイマイチだったのでボツ！
どんどん行きます。
またしてもチャイナタウンである。よせば良いのに雨の中シャッタースピードの設定を変えながら撮ったのだ。躍動感に溢れる画作りを狙うも手持ちのため手ブレた。そりゃ傘持って片手だもんな。まぁブレても使えるがさらにチャイナタウンをネタとして使わなかったという根本的な理由によりボツとなった。
さて、次。
これはJFK空港からエアトレインでジャマイカ駅に着き、駅から最初の一歩を踏み出した時の写真。これがニューヨークに到着して「最初の一枚」である。時刻は現地時刻で6時前、気温はマイナス8度だったと記憶している。
死ぬほど寒いのだが「さーて気合い入れて撮りますかぁ！」と自分に気合いを入れて撮った一発目から手ブレした(T_T)一発目で手ブレしたためいささか精神的にダメージを受けた。このあと20分ほどシャッター押す気分になれず。
ボツ・・・。
次！
この写真はウオール街にほど近いスタバの店内から撮った写真。ガラス越しなのに写り込みもなければ何がなんだか分からないし、そもそも構図が煮ても焼いても食えないのでボツ。ただ、マイナス8度の中、寒さに耐えかねて入ったスタバである。コーヒーを飲んで安堵したことは覚えている。相変わらず「コーヒー」の発音ができない自分に気付いた。
さて、そろそろ最後にしますか。
この写真は何かというと「パブクローリング」に参加している人たちである。ちょっとした民族大移動である。この時仲良くなったフランス人のエマニュエル（英語教師）とオランダ人のニコル（薬剤師）とはその後facebookでお友達となった。いずれにせよ一緒に酒を飲めばとりあえず仲良くなるというのは万国共通。
ただ、写真としては手ブレしたのでボツという理由もあるのだが、そもそも「パブクローリング」をネタにするのをすっかり忘れていた・・・。
こうしてみるとボツ写真（解説付き）は面白い。
