昨日は写真の法律の話を書いた。
それで今日は天気、季節、太陽の位置について書いてみる。
あくまで私の経験則でしかないので他の人がどうやっているかなんて知らんよ。でも、私は最低限これから書くことは意識していることは本当。
そもそも写真の原理原則というのは「光の捉え方」でしかないと思っている。暗闇で撮れる写真というのは無い。技術的には可能だが、それでも「肉眼で見えないだけ」であって赤外線などの反射で撮れるカメラは存在するがそれは例外。
私はかなり天気予報を見ている。朝の天気予報で概ね分かっていてもね。リアルタイムな天気予報が一番情報としての信頼性が高い。それで雨でも曇りでも撮るときは撮る。天気に応じた撮り方がある。個人の好みだろうが天候で被写体を変えている。
また、季節によって同じ時間帯でも太陽の位置が違うのでそうした時間感覚も大事にしている。今なら四月なので「この時間ならこれくらいの太陽の位置で、今日は曇っているから暗めかな」、とか「雲が無いので夕方なら太陽の橙色の陰影が綺麗に撮れそうだな。」とかって感じ。
それでいろいろと思案し、結果的に私の好みの撮影時間帯というのは「早朝」、「夕方」、「夜」となった。天気の良い日中というのは悪くないのだが都内の場合空が青い確率が低く、撮っても平凡だったり、人が多かったりする。なので空が青くて雲がクッキリ出ている時は撮っているがそうじゃないときはさほどテンション上がらない（※それでも撮ることはある）。
そして季節だが断然「冬」である。特に二月頃は一年の中で最も寒く、その分湿度が低くて写真には良い。さらに、始発電車で撮影ポイントに移動してもまだ周囲は暗く、徐々に空が明るんでくるタイミングと相まって最高のタイミングになる。ただ、東京の二月の場合、6時前には現地到着し、せいぜい一時間くらいまでがコアタイムだと思う。なのでシャッターチャンスは多くなくけっこうシビアに撮影プランを持を持つか、もしくは数を意識して撮りまくらないと撮りそびれる。考えている時間があったら「シャッター押せ！」ということ。
また夏場と違い早朝でもジョギングする人がいないので撮りやすいというメリットもある。四月になると朝5時過ぎるとジョギングやら散歩する人がいて集中力を欠いてしまう。これが梅雨明けの七月にもなると四六時中人がいるので撮りづらい。
まぁ、そうは言っても冬場の早朝スナップ撮りというのはかなりしんどい。超朝型人間の私でも心が折れる。二月の朝5時に家を出るためには4時起きで用意するんだが、辛い。夏場なら楽勝なんだが・・・。ただ、その分のリターンは大きい。
なぜなら自分以外の撮影者がいない、ということ。今まで一度も撮っている人を見たことが無い。このメリットが一番大きい。自分以外の誰かが撮っているのをみると意外とイヤなものだ（私の場合）。
ということで本日もカメラの設定の話でも無ければレンズの話でもなく恐縮です。
