経営数字だけを見るならば立派だが、私は彼の手がけている居酒屋には恐らく生涯行かないと思う。「和民」と「炭火××（店名失念）」にそれぞれ一度ずつ行ったが全然だめ。
たいして旨くもないし、接客もマニュアル通りだし、出てくるの遅いし、かと言ってさほど安くもない。
「一度だけで何が分かる？」と思われるかも知れないが、一度で十分だ。チェーン展開している店というのは良くも悪くもどこ行っても「同じ」であることに価値があるのであり、サービスの内容や質がバラバラならばわざわざチェーン店に行く必要はない。なのでマクドナルドがあれほどまでに成長している理由として「徹底したマニュアルと管理を駆使した品質の均一化」だと思っているくらいだ。
なのであれなら自炊したほうが奴らの人件費分だけ得だと思ったし、同じ「お金」を使うなら良い使い方はいくらでもある。お金の価値は尊く、使い方次第で受け取る価値は変わるし、そもそも消費者の権利は「使う場所や相手」を選べること。これは貧乏人でも金持ちでも同じ。
なので残念なことにワタミをありがたがるような嗜好の人たちと私は仲良くなれないと思うしそういう価値観の人はその程度の人生だ。これほどまでに飲食店があるのにわざわざワタミを選ぶセンスを疑う。
それで結局前述の二人を見ていてどちらも「権力嗜好」なんだな、と。
いや、いいよ、別に勝手に儲けて（儲けたという点では彼らが賢いと素直に認める）。でも、一応都民の一人としてはあいつが知事になるのはイヤだ。あの程度の飲食店でのし上がった奴に都政を任せたくない。結局マニュアル作って社員「洗脳」しただけ。彼に言わせてみれば「教育＝洗脳」なのかも知れないけど、都政と飲み屋一緒にされては都民としてはいい迷惑だ（もしかすると「洗脳」するなら都の職員も和民のバイトも同じだと思っているかも知れんが）。
マスゴミで発言している内容も、「年寄り＝ワタミの金づる」を意識しててイヤだ。
個人的には「そのまんま東」前宮城県知事が出馬することを期待しているが、それがダメならドクター中松でも良いと思っている。どこぞの政党に属している政治家風味のサラリーマンはもう要らんから、そろそろパンチの効いた人に「政（まつりごと）」をしてもらいたい。
都民も国民も求めているのは「ぶっ飛んだ変化」なんじゃなかろうか。それくらいじゃないと世の中なんて変わらんと思う。

最近、「焼きそば」に凝っている。あの「マルちゃん」の蒸し麺は王道なんだがもっと太麺でコシがしっかりしているものが食べたくなり、先日「山岸一雄監修」の「つけ麺専用（これも実はマルちゃん）」でトライしてみた。その時の写真が↑である。
悪くないのだが、茹でてから炒めると水分によるベタつき感が残り、油まぶしても水で洗ってもダメだ。食べると食感はイメージに近いのだがあの焼きそば独特の乾いた感じというか、「ドライな食感」が出ない。
