昨年辺りからRSSに登録している人たちのブログ更新頻度が激減している。
これはtwitterの普及に伴い、twitterを使ったビジネスモデルの普及というか、告知手段というか。
「ブログ更新しました」とかつぶやいて内容は「メルマガの宣伝」。
さもなくばただ「（ブログ）更新のお知らせ」である。
そもそもブログなんぞは更新したことを知らせるものなのか？知らせないと読んで貰えないようなコンテンツに意味があるのかね？
いや、誤解を恐れて補足する。
基本的に「継続的に読みたいモノ」はRSSなりで登録しているはずだ、よな・・・。なのにわざわざ告知するというのはtwitterのフォロワーに比して更新時の読者が少ない、ということになる。
結局twitterのフォロワーというのは「付き合い」であったり、「なんとなく」であって「異業種交流会で名刺交換した相手」と同等でしかない。
ちなみに私はtwitterのフォロワーよりもHOSONISMの読者数の方が多い（※そうは言っても数なんて二桁後半レベルだよ♪）。
それで結局ブログに誘導したいのであれば、やはりそれはブログのコンテンツの質を上げるしかないと思う。
かと言って病的に「質」に拘る必要はない。「質」には拘るべきかも知れないがそれよりも「更新頻度」が大事だと思う。また更新タイミングも大事。
HOSONISMの原則は「朝更新」というのは恐らく読者の皆さんご存じ通り。でも、意外とこれが大事なのです。そもそもこのブログのコンセプトは「無駄」とか「無価値」なんですが朝、職場で、もしくは通勤途中にスマホで読める軽いネタなんです。この「さほど読んでも価値はないけど朝には更新されている」というのが大事なのです。
読者がどういうタイミングで読むのか、もしくは読んで欲しいか、
ということ。マーケティングの基本でもある。
おかげさまで読者数が減りもしなければ増えもしない（※増えないのはブログの衰退によって『相互リンク』という文化が機能していないことに原因があると思っているが、もしかしたら「面白くないから」かも知れまないという可能性も自覚あり）。いずれにせよ書けば勝手に読んで頂いている方たちが二桁後半くらいはいるわけです。
ただ、そうは言っても更新の労力というのは読んでいる側に伝わる訳もなく、書いている側としては経済的なメリットは無いにも関わらず（※実質マイナス）書いているのです。
挙げ句の果てには「面白くない」とか「そんなわけない」とかいろいろ言われているのが実情なんですな。褒めて貰ったなんて数えるほどしかない。
それでそんな冷遇されているのになんでこんな「ほぼ毎日」書いているかと言われれば、私の考える読者数の下限「20人」を越えているからなのです。
あなたが一日20人に自分の考えを伝えたことが今までの人生の中で何度あったか。
「20人集客」できれば御の字という客商売がこの世にどれほどあるか。
そもそもあなたの会社、もしくは職場に20人以上いますか？
そう考えると「20人」という数字はバカにできない。恐らくネットの世界では「カス」みたいな数字だと思うが無名の個人にとってはそれでも有り難いくらいだ。
こう考えるとブログの更新というのは疎かにはできない。
HOSONISMの売りは「ブログ更新しましたぁ～」とかtwitterでつぶやいて集客する連中よりも、個々の読者を大事にしているのです。これは間違いない。
だからこそ、その期待に応えるべき「無駄」を日々探している。
また、もう一つに恐らくHOSONISMのポテンシャルは1万アクセス/日くらいはあると思っている。効果的な告知とか広報ができていないし、そもそも積極的に広げようともしていない（特に理由は無いが）。それに話題がバラバラなのも影響している。
恐らくここの読者はブログを「お持ち」だと思う。それを見直して再度更新してみてはどうだろうか。
一日に20件以上のアクセスがあるならば、読者の数云々抜きに存在価値がある。
経済的なメリットは無いがまだまだ活用すべき余地（特に個人）があるのがブログだと思う。
