昨年できたばかりの本屋だがでかくて「ほぼ」なんでも揃っているのが良い。こういう本屋はデカイ棚に「旬な本」が一覧できるように並んでいるので都合が良い。
そもそも本なんて買う気はないが世の中の流行をチラ見するには良い。
お決まりのビジネス書、自己啓発系の棚を流す。フェイスブック関連だったり、フリー系だったりが目に付く。自己啓発系だと「早起き」とか「スキルアップ」とか「成功する○○」、「できる××」みたいな本多数。どれくらい売れるのか知らないが情報として価値があるのか？といつも思う。この手の本は「目次」だけで十分だろう。
でも、売られているということは「それなりに売れる」ということなんだろう。不思議。「そんなこと知らないの？」みたいな気持ちになるのだが、「知らない人」というのはそういう本を1,500円とか払って読むのだろう。この当たり前のことをそれっぽく本にして売っている著者と出版社が「賢い」。これまた知らないと損だ。
これまた知らない人は新刊買うんだろう。こういう本というのは少し時間が経てばブックオフやらamazonのマーケットプレイスでも買えるのに。知っていても「古本」はイヤだという意見もあるかと思うが情報なんぞは消耗品なんだし、ある程度量をこなさないと意味がないのでコストパフォーマンス悪い気がする。この辺も情報との向き合い方を知らないと損だ。
それで書店に行ったら必ず「写真関連」の書籍にも目を通す。写真集から技術系まで。写真集はいつでも欲しいと思っているが高くて買えない。
