用賀在住のN氏ご推薦のラーメン屋に行ってみた。
本題に入る前に私のラーメンリテラシーについて語っておく。
ラーメンを食べる頻度で言うと一ヶ月に一回か、もしくはそれ以下の頻度である。好きなラーメンは細麺の豚骨ラーメンである。ただし、それも食べるとほぼ100%の確率で下痢をする。なので便秘気味の時に食べに行くことがたまにある程度。
自分でもびっくりするほど関心がない。ましてや最近の「つけ麺ブーム」は理解不能。食べている間にスープが冷めるような食い物が旨いという感覚が分からない。嫌いではないので友人に誘われれば行くが自らの意思では行かない。唯一行くのは「神座」くらい。これも年に一度か二度である。
さて、話を戻そう。
そんなラーメン無関心野郎が食べた感想としては・・・。
美味しいのかも知れないがよく分からない。
ということである。ただ、最近の「脂コッテリ」みたいなのよりは上品な感じなんじゃないかと。
この店の営業時間が月曜日から土曜日の11時から15時までなのである。こんな住宅街でさほど人の往来の多い場所ではないのにも関わらずこれは「強気」である。
それで入店したのは12時前だったが、すでにそこそこ混んでいた。
この立地で昼前から混むというのはいささか信じがたい。住宅街ではあるが3分も歩けば商店街である。ラーメン屋はたくさんある。わざわざここに来る理由は何かを考えてしまう。
それで一応の結論としては美味しい（と思う）が、「近所にあるなら旨い」というレベルで唯一絶対の旨さとは違う。ただ、ちょっと感じたのはなんか全体的に「清々しい」ということである。
家族経営の店ではあるが、なんというか爽やか。それでいてライスがサービスだったり「基本」は押さえている。接客も「押しつけではない自然体」での爽やかさだ。
「自然体で爽やか」というのは凄い技術だと思う。昨今のマニュアル主義が生み出した「人造的な接客」に嫌気がさしていたので新鮮だった。
50年（！）続いている店のようでこういう場所にありがちな恐らく不動産収入とか何かしら副収入があるんだろうが、それでも甘えることなくきっちりとした仕事をしていた。恐らくここはラーメン屋だけでも食えているんだろう。

最近、やたらと半額にする店とか、クーポン乱発する店は多いのだけどそういう店の人たちは他にもっとやるべきことが「あった」と思う。
要は知恵の使い方だな、と改めて思った。
