自分はけっこう時間にはうるさい方だと思う。
待ち合わせや締め切りなど「遅れた記憶」というのが無い。大抵の場合待ち合わせには「先に行って待っているタイプ」である。また、寝坊した記憶もない。ただ、「重要な用事がある朝」はさすがに目覚まし時計をセットする。しかし、それでも残念なことにほぼ100%に近い確率で目覚まし時計に勝ってしまう。
まぁ、世間一般の感覚とはかけ離れているかも知れない。
外食にしても「並ぶという愚かな行為」は死んでもやらない。ラーメン食わない理由の一つでもあり、この世に並んでまで食うほどのものなど絶対存在しないと思っている（※味の割に並ばないで食べることができる「神座」は年に一、二回は行っている）。この徹底ぶり病的なのかも知れない。「病的」かも知れないがこればかりは全く意に介さないのである。
批判されるなら甘んじて受け入れる所存である。
そうは言っても例外的に「並ばされる」ことはある。それでも一度並んだような場所には二度と近づかないか時間をずらす。
それで最近「キッチンタイマー」に凝っている。100円ショップで買ったのだが、これはカウントダウンタイマー以外に、ストップウオッチとしても使える優れものである（ダイソーってマジで凄い）。
どの作業がどれくらいの時間がかかるか（かかったか）、どの作業にどれだけの時間を割り振るか（必要か）、ということを知っておくのである。時計で確認すればいいのだろうが集中していると時計を見るのを忘れてしまうということはよくあるのでこうしている。
これが便利で「使える時間」と「使われる時間」の区別が付けやすい。
全体の作業バランスが組みやすく、「優先順位」を考える上でのタグとしても使える。表現が難しいが質と量の組み合わせが1単位になるのでこの1単位を一日の中で組み合わせれば良いだけ。
これをやるとまとまった時間を確保していた作業が実は隙間時間の活用で問題ないとか、またその逆に隙間時間でやっていたことが実はまとまった時間を確保したほうが効率良かったり、とけっこう発見があるように思います。特にルーチンワークでやってみると一目瞭然だったりする。
まぁ、こんなこと書いてもこんなことやっている奴は聞いたことがないので本当に意味があるかどうかは不明。
それにこれをやったところで劇的に収入増える訳でもないし、サラリーマンの人は「就業時間」という縛りがあるので意味あるかどうか不明。下手すると「残業代」という意味不明な追加賃金欲しくて敢えて効率下げている人も世の中にいるようなので「日々1ミリでも成長したいと思っているような人」とは違うのでこういう人には関係ないかも知れません。
いずれにせよちょっと変わった習慣ってことなんでしょうね。
