馬事公苑で行われた「世田谷区民祭り」に行って来た。
なんか面白いもの撮れるかなぁ、と思っていたがこれが全然つまらない。正確には使い始めて間もないカメラなので「瞬時に設定決められない」という弱点と、「そもそも人混みで写真撮ること」が好きではないというそもそも論的な弱点が相まっている。
なんか人混みの中だと人の顔が写ると肖像権の問題とか、なんか今時のカメラ好きと同じようで「一緒にすんなよ」と内心思ってしまう。なので昔からさほど積極的ではない。海外だと「外人だから」と勝手に納得して撮ったりするのだがどうも国内ではそういう気分にはならない。
ただ、「見てください！」みたいなステージイベントなんかはそういう精神的なハードルは無いのでたまに撮ってみようかと思ったわけ。しかし、得てしてそういう被写体は誰が撮っても同じに見える。やはり撮らないなりの理由はあるわけだ。
まぁ、それで一応撮ったのが；
設定ミスととっさに撮ったのでちょっとピンぼけだし・・・。構図もなんか中途半端。いや、本来もっと前に行ってかぶりつきで撮るのが正しいのだろうが、どうもそういうテンションにはならないんだよな（※こういうイベントで女性を被写体にした写真を撮ったのは（覚えている限りで）人生初だと思います）。
若くて綺麗なお姉さんたちがフラダンス踊るというなかなか無い機会のはずですが、なーんか普通の写真しか撮れない。よくレースクイーンとかの写真撮っているカメラ小僧の写真見ると使っている機材の割にどれもこれも同じに見えるということがあるが、まさにあれと一緒。こういう「見てください」みたいないシチュエーションというのは得てして撮影ポイントが決まってくるものだ。観光地なんかも同じで札幌の「時計台」、パリの「エッフェル塔」などいずれも「撮る場所」は決まっている。
それでも「普通の写真」というのはそれはそれで価値のあるものだと思うが、やはりいざ撮るとなるといつもと感じが違う。
次の写真はもっとひどく、
知らないオッサンの頭見切れてるし、しかも水平合ってない。どうも不慣れなせいか、後ろめたさを感じてか、落ち着いて撮れない。また、やはりもっと前に行って撮ればもっと良かったかなぁ、と思いながらこういう時の写真の「作法」をよく知らないというのもある。このお姉さんなんてもっとちゃんと撮ればすごく映えるのにねぇ（被写体の良さぶちこわし・・・）。
それで普段の感じで撮るとこうなる。
個人が特定できそうなアングルを避け、「お祭りの屋台」をイメージさせる撮り方。完全に「お祭りのイメージ写真」になってしまっているので「世田谷区民祭りである必然性」はどこにもない・・・。
また、フォーカスの設定変更したのを忘れて撮ってしまい、
手前のソースの瓶にピントを合わせてしまう始末。いや、これはこれで「こういう作画です！」と言い切ることもできるのだが、あえてこの小汚いソースの瓶にピント合わせた理由を聞かれても答えようが無い。普段はシャッター半押ししてフォーカスロックしてから構図を決めるのだが、これはカメラ任せに撮ってしまったんだよな。
今回はあえて苦手というかどうも使い勝手がまだしっくり来ていない「55mm-200mm」の望遠レンズを使ってみたのだが、長年単焦点レンズしか使ったことが無いので「ズームレンズ」というものに戸惑いがある。でも、人混みを避けてちょっと遠くのモノを撮るならこういうレンズのほうが撮りやすいとも思う。
どのみち人にはそれぞれ向き不向きというのがあって、弱点と認識して克服する努力をするのか、もしくは最初から不得意な分野には手を出さないか、この辺の判断は人それぞれ。
逆に自分で得意だと思っていても人からみたらそうでもない場合も往々にしてあることなのでこれはこれで難しいところでもある。
結局のところ向き不向きに関わらず、堂々と何を言われようが思われようが貫いてみると意外と本人が思っている以上に通用してしまうことの方が多い。
